The Avengers
Synopsis: "An all-star lineup of superheroes -- including Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk and Captain America -- team up to save the world from certain doom. Working under the authority of S.H.I.E.L.D., can our heroes keep the planet at peace?"
(Synopsis compliments of Netflix)

Edit summary: Combines all of the Marvel superhero movies relevant to the Avengers series together with them, while carefully cutting any bad acting, scripts, or irrelevant time wasting side-plots that don't add to the character development.
The Hunger Games
Synopsis: "In a dystopian future ruled by a totalitarian regime, resourceful Katniss and her partner Peeta represent their district in the lethal Hunger Games, a televised survival competition in which teenage contestants hunt each other to the death."
(Synopsis compliments of Netflix)

Edit summary: The first edit still has a lot of spastic 2-second cuts back and forth that can't be removed if you want any action sequences from the 2012 film. But I did try to clean them up a little bit, as well as fixing key scenes like the bakery and Rue to better reflect the impact from the book rather than the disposable hyperactivity of the movie.

All four movies have been combined into two longer films and slimmed down a little bit, fixing the rather ponderous pace the original movies had at times.
Atlas Shrugged
Synopsis: "Railroad executive Dagny Taggart and steel mogul Henry Rearden form an alliance to fight the increasingly authoritarian government of the United States."

Edit summary: Cut the affair and tweaked the moral to be less heavy-handed. Also made a bunch of minor cuts in an attempt to improve the flow and dialogue, although some of it is still pretty rough.
Black Mirror
Synopsis: "Black Mirror is three stand alone dramas that tap into the collective unease about our modern world. They are sharp, suspenseful, satirical tales with a techno-paranoia bent. 'The National Anthem' looks at how life is much harder for the rich and powerful now that information is disseminated so quickly; '15 Million Merits' is satire on our insatiable thirst for distraction; 'In Memoriam' is an alternate reality where everyone has access to a system which records everything they do, see or hear."
(Synopsis compliments of Netflix)

Edit summary: Selected episodes that are the best sci-fi of this anthology series.
Boss
Synopsis: "Kelsey Grammer stars in this dark drama as Chicago mayor Tom Kane, a viperous politician unafraid to step outside the law when it suits his interests. But as he pushes his agenda, Kane's fiercest foe may prove to be an explosive personal secret."
(Synopsis compliments of Netflix)

Edit summary: Reduces the impact of the illness, trims much of the daughter and all of her boyfriend, and makes cuts to the storylines to remove any soap opera elements and make it a political drama rather than a drama that has politics.
Chalet Girl
Synopsis: "Former skateboard champion Kim takes a job working at an exclusive ski resort to support her Dad."

Edit summary: Trimmed out the cliche romance plot in the third act to leave more of a feel-good sporty film. Not everything needs a romance plot and it felt forced in this one.
Game of Thrones
Synopsis: "Based on the best selling book series 'A Song of Ice and Fire' by George R.R. Martin, this series follows the great families of Westeros as they use violence, deception, and treachery in an attempt to control the Iron Throne. When you play the Game Of Thrones, you win ... or you die."

Edit summary: Recut season 8 and all the other overly long battles to be shorter but keep the grit and action. Cut the entire High Sparrow storyline along with Tommen, and refocused the entire series into a more cohesive overarching plot.
Revenge
Synopsis: "The Alexandre Dumas novel The Count of Monte Cristo inspires this modern-day drama about a lovely young woman who moves to the Hamptons and charms the pants off her new neighbors -- while plotting their downfall for sins committed against her family."
(Synopsis compliments of Netflix)

Edit summary: This slims down the series to make it more about revenge - removing some of the petty squabbles that dominate the middle of the series. It also removes any resurrection of characters - people who die stay dead, and it also rewrites the ending to fit with the original plot. Additionally, a bunch of unnecessary side characters are removed (Patrick, Emily and Jack's mothers, The Initiative people), making the overall plot much more grounded and believable.
Happythankyoumoreplease
Synopsis: "On the way to meet a publisher, aspiring novelist Sam (Josh Radnor) encounters 6-year-old Rasheen (Michael Algieri) alone on the subway. While struggling to decide whether to send him back to foster care, Sam looks after Rasheen and learns a few important life lessons. Meanwhile, Sam's friends deal with various romantic tribulations. Radnor wrote and directed this coming-of-age comedy, which won the Best Drama Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival."
(Synopsis compliments of Netflix)

Edit summary: Heavily trimmed into more of a short film that focuses on Sam, Rasheen, and Mississippi, disposing of the other side stories.
Luther
Synopsis: "Luther is a brilliant but emotionally impulsive detective who is tormented by the dark side of humanity while hunting down murderers. He must grapple with the intensity of both his job and his personal life as the two become intertwined."

Edit summary: Follows the Luther and Alice plot arc that's the heart of the series, cuts off the later seasons that are more standard police procedural.
Morning Glory
Synopsis: "Whiz-kid producer Becky Fuller (Rachel McAdams) finds her abilities put to the test when she's charged with bringing a network morning show back from ratings purgatory. Her first job: getting the show's feuding, acid-tongued co-hosts (Harrison Ford and Diane Keaton) under control. Jeff Goldblum co-stars as Fuller's network-exec boss and Patrick Wilson is Becky's put-upon boyfriend in this comedy from the writer of The Devil Wears Prada."
(Synopsis compliments of Netflix)

Edit summary: Cut a small cringey scene at the very start.
Harry Brown
Synopsis: "A recently widowed former Royal Marine, decides to take action against the teenage drug dealers terrorizing and killing the residents of his South London neighborhood."

Edit summary: Small trims here and there to speed up and streamline the story a bit. It's still a slow burn, but the trims remove the lulls so it's smooth and engaging.
St Trinian's 2: The Legend of Fritton's Gold
Synopsis: "When the troublemaking girls of St. Trinian's discover that their headmistress Miss Fritton (Rupert Everett) is related to an infamous pirate, they square off against the evil Pomfrey (David Tennant) and his menacing group of woman haters on a hunt for buried treasure. Colin Firth returns as stuffed-shirt education minister Geoffrey Thwaites. Gemma Arterton and Russell Brand also star in this adaptation of the work of cartoonist Ronald Searle."
(Synopsis compliments of Netflix)

Edit summary: This film isn't nearly as good as the original, most of the irreverence and character flavor has been gutted by the politically correct bent of the sequel.

Cut the majority of the cross-dressing role Rupert Everett plays as the headmistress, as well as the blatant "women vs misogynistic cult" scenes - resulting in plot that's more National Treasure/"Fighting The Man" rather than an overt gender war.
Up In The Air
Synopsis: "Ryan Bingham (George Clooney) racks up miles flying around the country firing employees on behalf of companies. But he faces losing the job he savors to recent college grad Natalie Keener (Anna Kendrick) -- and losing the ability to escape emotional ties to anything. A connection he builds with Alex Goran (Vera Farmiga), however, might change his outlook on the future. Golden Globe winner Jason Reitman's smart comedy also stars Jason Bateman."
(Synopsis compliments of Netflix)

Edit summary: Cut the majority of the Vera Farmiga scenes and disposed of the cliche 'everyone needs love' plot point they added to keep George Clooney's character more mainstream-audience friendly.
Zombieland
Synopsis: "An easily spooked guy, Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), joins forces with wild man Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) to fight for survival in a world virtually taken over by freakish zombies. As they destroy scores of the undead, they meet up with two other survivors, Little Rock (Abigail Breslin) and Wichita (Emma Stone), and journey to a supposedly safe abandoned amusement park. Ruben Fleischer directs this horror romp."
(Synopsis compliments of Netflix)

Edit summary: Cut Bill Murray, the lookalikes storyline in the second film, and some of the slapstick humor.
