2001: A Space Odyssey
Synopsis: "When a mysterious artifact is uncovered on the Moon, a spacecraft manned by two humans and one supercomputer is sent to Jupiter to find its origins."

Edit summary: This is an experimental edit that takes the space exploration scenes from the film and turns them into a silent film set to the tune of Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin. It isn't really narrative driven, more of a vibe or series of vignettes than a coherent 16 minute short film.
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Synopsis: "A down-on-his-luck inventor turns a broken-down Grand Prix car into a fantastical vehicle for his children, and then they go off on a magical adventure to save their grandfather in a far-off land."

Edit summary: This edit significantly cuts down the musical numbers (only kept You Two, Candy Factory, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and King's Birthday), tones down the slapstick a bit, reduces the creepy childcatcher scenes, and various other trims to bring down the rather chunky length to something that doesn't require an intermission break. The only one I'm sad about losing is the carnival dance song (the song is silly but it was fun to watch as a kid), but that sequence really breaks up the flow of the early story and is an easy cut to save time without impacting the plot.
All Quiet on the Western Front
Synopsis: "A German youth eagerly enters World War I, but his enthusiasm wanes as he gets a firsthand view of the horror."

Edit summary: This is a short made for the Internet Archive's 2026 Public Domain Film Remix Contest. The rules request a "light hearted and fun" remix that's 2-3 minutes long, so this edit cuts the violent parts of the film, and reworks a few core scenes into an upbeat and cohesive anti-war message.

I've also included an alternate "bloody" version that would be more of my vision for the film, if not for the "light hearted" restriction.
