Killing Eve
Synopsis: "Eve - a bored MI5 analyst - and Villanelle - a talented, mercurial assassin - go head to head in a fierce game of cat and mouse."

Edit summary: Completely remove the stabbing subplot. Cut the terribly useless Season 3 & 4 and consolidate the previous seasons - stripping out Eve's husband side plot in Season 1 and fixing her poorly written lesbian obsession in Season 2 so it's conveyed in a less ham-fisted way.

Ver8: Remastered
Wind River
Synopsis: "A wildlife officer, who is haunted by a tragedy that happened because of him, teams up with an FBI agent in solving a murder of a young woman on a Wyoming Native American reservation and hopes to get redemption from his past regrets."

Edit summary: Kept the laid-back pace of the main story intact, but trimmed some of the main character family life, and some of the flashbacks to focus on the core narrative without interruption. Some scenes are recut and rearranged for better impact.

Ver4: Remastered
The Gentlemen
Synopsis: "Mickey Pearson is an American expatriate who became rich by building a highly profitable marijuana empire in England. When word gets out that he's looking to cash out of the business, it soon triggers an array of plots and schemes - including bribery and blackmail - from shady characters who want to steal his domain."

Edit summary: Remove the constant interruptions from Fletcher narrating the story and let the scenes speak for themselves.

Ver11: Moved the running scene slightly forward for better narrative flow, and trimmed down the number of times Dry Eye taps his phone so it matches the dollar amount being discussed by the characters.

Ver13: Remastered
Battleship
Synopsis: "When a confrontation with alien invaders knocks out the Navy's main fleet, American and Japanese forces must work together to find a way to save the planet."

Edit summary: Made the main character a bit less of a screw-up, trimmed out some scenes that slowed down the plot but didn't totally remove the characters backstory, and put more focus on the boat battles - de-hollywoodifying it a bit by removing a lot of the "exciting" close up alien combat and flashy cgi.

Ver13: Remastered
Ambulance
Synopsis: "Needing money to cover his wife's medical bills, a decorated veteran teams up with his brother to steal $32 million from a Los Angeles bank. However, when their getaway goes spectacularly wrong, the desperate thieves hijack an ambulance."

Edit summary: Cut the rollercoaster-quality drone shots, cop cars randomly smashing into things, and tightened up the non-action scenes a bit

Ver3: Remastered
Columbus
Synopsis: "When a renowned architecture scholar falls suddenly ill during a speaking tour, his son Jin finds himself stranded in Columbus, Indiana, a small Midwestern city celebrated for its many significant modernist buildings. Jin strikes up a friendship with Casey, a young architecture enthusiast who works at the local library."

Edit summary: I have a lot of respect for this director, he did an amazing job weaving a light story into some beautiful imagery. Really excellent the way he juxtaposed the actors with the architecture.

This edit just tightens up the story slightly, toning down some of the side characters to keep the focus on the Jin and Casey story. It makes the pace slightly less sluggish but does not make it a fast movie by any means, the contemplative vibe is left fully intact along with some long periods of silence, it just isn't quite as extreme as in the original.

Ver7: Remastered
The Sandman
Synopsis: "Upon escaping after decades of imprisonment by a mortal wizard, Dream, the personification of dreams, sets about to reclaim his lost equipment."

Edit summary: Most of this show is contrived netflix garbage, but there's a small segment in the middle of the show that has a completely different tone and makes for an interesting short film, so I've cut out that section and combined it with a bit of backstory to round it out. Additionally the image scaling is changed a bit to remove the vertical stretch that the producers put on the image to make it "dreamlike" since it's annoying at best and literally nauseating to some people.

Ver5: Remastered
Girl Walks Into A Bar
Synopsis: "An all-star cast shines in this indie comedy about a typical night in 10 bars across Los Angeles, where former cop Francine becomes entangled with a group of oddballs, including a murderous dentist, an ambitious club hostess and a regretful father."
(Synopsis compliments of Netflix)

Edit summary: Heavily trimmed to focus on Carla Gugino's story and get rid of some of the other side plots that had worse acting or terrible dialogue. More of a short film now.

Ver9: Remastered
Feast of Love
Synopsis: "An Oregon town is the backdrop for this tale of men and women touched by love's inescapable spell: From hopeless romantic Bradley (Greg Kinnear) to Harry (Morgan Freeman), a local professor with the wisdom and experience to guide those close to him."

Edit summary: Major cuts to refocus the film on the relationship between Greg Kinnear and Radha Mitchell, while still keeping enough of the side characters and plot to fill out the film. This doesn't remove the sex scenes entirely, but does cut enough of them that the film feels truer to the title, rather than Feast Of Sex.

Ver9: Remastered
My Name
Synopsis: "A woman joins an organized crime ring and infiltrates the police as an undercover agent in order to find out the truth about her father's death."

Edit summary: The first six episodes are a slow burn that's decent so those are left intact. But episode eight had a completely different tone from the rest of the season so I trimmed that down and combined it with episode seven to make a more cohesive finale.

Ver3: Remastered
The Idol
Synopsis: "Jocelyn is desperate to reclaim her rightful title as the greatest and sexiest pop diva in America after a nervous breakdown disrupted her most recent tour, and Tedros - a notorious nightclub entrepreneur - reignites her passions."

Edit summary: Cut the entire Tedros storyline and made the first-episode plot a self-contained story.

Ver4: Remastered
Harry Potter
Synopsis: "An orphaned boy enrolls in a school of wizardry, where he learns the truth about himself, his family and the terrible evil that haunts the magical world."

Edit summary: This edit heavily slims down the eight-film series into a trilogy, although due to the flow of the narrative the first and third films feel a bit flat in the first hour. I also tried to remove as much of the bad writing as possible but there still are some hand-waving Deus Ex Machina bits by the author that an edit can't really fix.

The main goal was to fix the rather poor ending films and focus more on it being a fun magical-school adventure rather than a story fixated on a particular special boy. So I cut everything related to the details of the parents murder, mothers love, and any special abilities resulting from that aside from his scar warning him of impending danger. I also removed all mentions of mudblood or any other racial implications to keep the mood a bit lighter.

This heavily alters the timeline in places, so don't expect a story that's true to the books. I also toned down the teen angst of the later films, removing most of the romance, school dances, etc.
Paper Man
Synopsis: "A frustrated novelist begins to depend less on his imaginary friend when he forms a unique bond with a Long Island teenager."

Edit summary: This isn't a great movie by any means, but I'm posting the edit anyway because it does offer a completely different take on the film.

This removes the imaginary friend completely, as well as a few small cuts in places that reference the age of the younger characters. Supposedly they're 12-15 but Emma Stone was like 21 in this and doesn't look younger than 18 by any means. Implying younger ages could completely change the tone, but it would need younger actors to work, otherwise it just seems weird.
Severance
Synopsis: "Mark leads a team of office workers whose memories have been surgically divided between their work and personal lives"

Edit summary: Removed most of the scenes spent out of the office that interrupted the pace and tone of the work segments. This also made the tone more suspenseful and less depressing overall, the "real life" segments have a tendency to be a bit morose. Also streamlined the office to keep the focus on Mark and Helly, and reduce the presence of Irving and many of the management staff characters. The new plot arc requires a lot less suspension of disbelief since many of the "mysterious" crazy side plots are removed in favor of a mysterious tone rather than manufactured mysteries.

Ver9: Re-add 20 seconds of cut footage to improve the finale and retrim the ending a bit.
The Baker and the Beauty
Synopsis: "Daniel Garcia is working in the family bakery and doing everything that his loving Cuban parents and siblings expect him to do, until his life changes unexpectedly on a wild Miami night with a chance encounter with a superstar model at a fancy restaurant."

Edit summary: Culled out a lot of the side plots to put more focus on the main characters' relationship rather than trying to give equal time to the rest of the family. Also some careful trims to make a couple of the side characters more likeable rather than annoying.

Ver6: Updated projects to remove mixed non-23.976 sources for easier loading
